Detroit-born, Grammy-nominated R&B singer-songwriter Kem will take the stage this weekend at The Aretha Franklin Amphitheatre for two standout concerts, joined by the legendary S.O.S. Band and Loose Ends. A portion of the proceeds from these performances will benefit Detroit’s unhoused population.
This event marks the second year of the Community of Hope weekend, a three-day initiative running from Friday through Sunday. The weekend kicks off with the Concert of Hope, headlined by Kem. This concert series aims to energize and inspire the community while pushing for meaningful solutions to the challenges faced by unhoused individuals and families throughout metro Detroit.
Following the musical festivities on Friday and Saturday, Sunday will be dedicated to the Day of Hope. This special day will focus on providing essential services and support directly to the unhoused community, continuing the initiative’s mission to make a tangible difference.
Through these events, the Community of Hope weekend seeks to combine the power of music with compassionate outreach, fostering a stronger and more supportive Detroit community.
